(Peoples Daily Online/Weng Qiyu)Duofu is a black Labrador with a mission of searching for explosives. During the two sessions, Duofu and his trainer Gao Yu, a squadron commander of Beijing Police, as well as 15 other dogs have to search almost all the cars at the two sessions for explosives.Duofu is 7 years old. Gao Yu told journalists that Duofu started to get training since he was 8 months old, and he was already able to perform missions when he was one and a half years old.Duofu is very meticulous and elaborate when he is searching, not missing any spots in the car. Besides Labradors like Duofu, there are also Springers, Belgian Shepherds, and Dutch Shepherds in the doggie search team. Their missions are searching for explosives and patrolling in Tiananmen Square.During the two sessions, policemen in Beijing are all laboriously taking responsibilities for the security of the two sessions. Like Gao Yu for example, though his wife is pregnant at home, he still needs to be on-duty overtime for the job.
